The EOS IX50 was developed as an entry-level APS SLR camera, combining the excellent basic performance of the New EOS Kiss, a best-selling 35mm standard SLR, with the advanced features of APS. It is 15% smaller in volume than the New EOS Kiss and weighs only 360g. It can use EF lenses and accessories. It inherits features such as wide-area 3-point focusing, 6-segment evaluative metering, and E-TTL. It supports a variety of magnetic IX functions, including mid-cartridge replacement (MRC), PQI function that records 9 types of shooting information on film to improve print quality, 12 languages and 100 types of title printing, print quantity specification, and full-frame same condition printing (FTPM). It pursues easy and comfortable operability with features such as one-touch film loading, film lid opening prevention during shooting, and concentration of operation buttons for magnetic IX function settings on the back (IX position).
