Levi's 501 03501-0101 W32 Featuring Kenji Fuyutani

This "03501" series gained explosive popularity after being worn in a commercial by Kenji Furuya of "Dragon Ash." At the time of its release, the commercial also featured musicians Kenichi Asai, Hiroshi Fujiwara, CHARA, and bird, generating significant buzz.

"03501-0101" is a Japanese-planned product of Levi's, similar to "00501-01," but differs in two ways: it uses XXX7 denim, and the silhouette is slightly wider. The sewing is made in the Philippines. The product's booklet explains XXX7 denim as follows:

XXX7 denim is a special denim created with the image of the deep indigo pure indigo of the 1933 501XX preserved in the SF headquarters archive.
Its main feature is the reproduction of the faded and oxidized color that comes from wearing it for many years with almost no washing. Similar to XX17, the warp threads that make up XXX7 denim mix four different thicknesses of yarn to reproduce the unevenness of the time, and the weft uses the special uneven yarn, Amsler ringspun, from Cone Mills.
The weight of the XXX7 denim itself is also a slightly lighter denim, 11.75oz unwashed and 13oz after washing, linking to the history of Levi's, which started with 9oz, rather than the 14oz of today.
Light and very easy to wear, the XXX7 denim, which develops character with each wear, is a special denim that condenses the history and tradition of Levi's into one.
