Paul E. Maxwell (1925-2015, American). He was honored with one-man exhibitions of his paintings at Scripps College and at thePioneer Museum, Stockton, California — his first museum show. In 1951 Maxwell exhibited at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and was given his first solo exhibition in a commercial gallery by Felix Landau, Los Angeles. Since then, he has had numerous exhibitions in museums and galleries throughout the United States, Europe, Canada and Australia. Maxwell taught at the Houston Museum of Art (Texas) and at the University of Houston (1955-1958).
