This vest follows the design of the NUPTSE jacket, a heritage model that represents THE NORTH FACE in the 1990s, originally developed for expeditions in 1992. It uses recycled down, which is environmentally friendly, for the insulation. The outer fabric is made of durable 50-denier ripstop nylon with a water-repellent finish, and the shoulder yoke is reinforced with nylon material. It also features an electrostatic care design to suppress the generation of static electricity.
