This is a vintage Giorgio Armani Mani men’s tuxedo dating most likely to the 1980s. The Mani line was introduced in 1981 and phased out in the 1990s, no longer produced by 1994. The jacket is tailored in black with fine faille satin-faced elongated peaked lapels, a six button double-breasted front with a single button closure, and jetted pockets - the pockets are still sewn shut. It is fully lined and cut in Armani’s classic silhouette with padded shoulders and a longer length, typical of the period.
The Mani line was Giorgio Armani’s diffusion label, produced in Italy with the same attention to tailoring but at a more accessible price point than the main Armani label.
