A gorgeous pair of hand carved wooden Balinese sculptures.
They are carved by hand out of a very dense, heavy wood and done with elaborate lifelike detailing throughout.
They depict an Indonesian woman and man from the chest up with traditional headpieces, and have a lovely patina.
Bali, Indonesia, mid-20th century. Would make beautiful shelf or table decor or bookends as well.
The sculptures are in very good condition (a hairline crack above the cheek bone on the man and the mark on chest is not a flaw but a knot in the wood). Please view all photos listed and zoom in for more details.
