Antique German China-Head Doll – Marked "Germany 2 G" – 12 Inches Tall
This is a lovely antique German china-head doll dating from approximately 1890–1915. She has a glazed porcelain (china) head with molded black hair, pink-tinted cheeks, and delicately painted facial features typical of the early 20th-century Thuringian doll factories. The back shoulder plate is clearly stamped "Germany 2 G."
She has her original (or period-correct) muslin cloth body, china lower arms/hands, and a beautifully made old-style dress with lace trim. The clothing appears hand-sewn and is appropriate for the era.
