This is a 1966 model 501XX from LVC.
I bought it two years ago for a photoshoot.
It's made in Japan, before the current organic cotton, and I think it cost around 34,000 yen.
After buying it raw, I washed it to remove the starch and had the hem adjusted. I wore it for about 8 hours a day for six months, from October to March.
For this sale, I washed it with denim detergent (this is the second time washing it, after the initial starch removal) and wore it for a day.
Waist: 76cm, Inseam: 73cm, Total Length: 96cm
I am 172cm tall and weigh 62kg.
The waist stretches to about 78cm when worn. It felt a little bigger than a perfect fit.
The inseam is perfect, and if you roll it up about 3cm, it will hit your ankles nicely, which is a good size for this time of year.
Whiskers and honeycombs are starting to appear, and the selvedge and hem puckering are also coming out beautifully, and the color is fading very nicely.
I've put it in the dryer when removing the starch and this time, so I don't think it will shrink any further.
The hem was finished with a Union Special machine using cotton thread.
It is often said that the first six months to a year is the most important for denim fading. I only wore it for six months as an experiment, so this is a pair that you can still enjoy the fading process with.
LVC has been getting more expensive year by year, so this is highly recommended for those who find it troublesome to buy raw denim, remove the starch, hem it, and wear it for six months.
Thank you.
