The painting depicts the Greek philosopher Aristotle contemplating a bust of the ancient poet Homer.
Aristotle is shown wearing a gold chain with a medallion of his student, Alexander the Great.
This Reproduction was made by Turner Wall Accessories back in the 1950’s-1960’s.
The original artwork is currently housed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
Condition: Minor wear to the paper backing (see photos) — does not affect hanging or appearance. Ready to hang.
