Beautiful 1930s Machine Age brooch made from deep oxblood red tested Bakelite with stamped brass atomic studs and dangling Bakelite discs, made in the Miriam Haskell style. Hand-assembled on a brass backplate with original early hinge & C-clasp. Wonderful color, weight, and movement. This style was part of the early 1930–1935 “button jewelry” trend, using Bakelite blanks and decorative brass hardware. Confirmed Bakelite examples in this bold atomic design are scarce and very collectible.
