Yang Yuhuan was one of the famous consorts of the Tang Dynasty, and this brush is designed with her as the theme.
This is a rare, artisan-made Chinese brush using the traditional three-layer hair structure:
Inner core: weasel hair
Middle layer: rabbit hair
Outer layer: weasel hair again
Hair material: high-quality winter weasel hair from Northeast China
The brush handle is made of African sandalwood with resin drip-art decoration - a technique that took the maker over six years and countless material tests to perfect. Because of the complex craftsmanship, it cannot be mass-produced with molds, and the success rate is only around 10%. Each brush is unique, and no two are exactly the same - which is why it is relatively rare.
The box has been opened for inspection, but the brush itself has never been used.
