Vintage Taxco Sterling Sphere Accordion Locket Necklace

Absolutely FABULOUS vintage sterling silver accordion sphere locket necklace. This special piece is beautiful, unique AND functional! The sphere, or ball is about 1.5” long and has bands over the top. The bands have beautiful details and they are also the latches that keep it closed, as there are hooks on the ends that go into holes on the bottom sides. When opened, it reveals 4 plus inches of accordion of discs for photos or engraving is revealed. There are 4 flat discs which can be used for phots and/or inscriptions and 2 more domed discs. Which can potentially used for photos. You can also do a combination of photos and inscriptions. The photos will need to be tacked down, as the frame edges are pretty flat. Some of these were made with gentle glue already on them. It hangs on a 19” sterling chain that was on it when I purchased it. It has a Taxco stamp and 925. Truly wearable art! K1
