Forty Fine Clothing is a brand derived from the select shop US (アス). The alphabet "U" is the 21st letter and "S" is the 19th, so the sum of "40" was used for the name. They propose urban daily wear updated by combining the practical and sophisticated details and sewing of existing clothes with carefully selected textiles. From 2012 AW, they shifted their branding to focus on denim. The denim line, made in Japan from the beginning with thorough quality control, aims to create new basic models while retaining the universal and basic aspects of jeans, and projecting modern silhouettes, patterns, and old sewing techniques into the products.
