Eggman, Decoe and Bocoe are putting the lives of hundreds in danger - including Sonic's friend Chris - as they hatch an "explosive" scheme to empty the bank's vault. Sonic, Knuckles, Amy, Cheese and Tails must save the day...and things go from bad to worse as they attempt to recover a lost Chaos Emerald before Eggman gets his mitts on it. Worst still, the Chaos Emerald is at the bottom of the ocean and Sonic can't swim!
The first issue of Archie's “Sonic X” tie-in features a few info bubbles, detailing the basic premise of the cartoon.
In February 2022, Paramount and Sega announced that they were working on a Sonic cinematic universe, with Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and a Knuckles streaming television series for Paramount+. Elba is set to reprise his voice role in the series.
