This exquisite vintage brooch features a finely carved shell left facing cameo depicting a classic female profile in relief. The cameo is prong set in a beautiful gold filled frame with a decorative twisted rope border design. The rim of the setting is clearly stamped "ROLLED GOLD," indicating the quality of the metal finish. Rumor has it that left facing cameos are harder to carve and therefore very desirable by collectors!
