This is a beautiful vintage statement brooch featuring an ornate, scrolled gold-tone filigree setting. The centerpiece is a stunning iridescent Opalite cabochon, which exhibits a milky glow, especially under a black light (as tested). Surrounding the central stone is a halo of small, perfectly round faux pearls.
Circa or Era: The intricate, highly decorative metalwork and the use of the central cabochon surrounded by pearls places this brooch firmly in the Baroque Revival or Victorian Revival style, commonly manufactured in the Mid-Century era, circa 1950s to 1960s.
Condition: The brooch is in excellent vintage condition. The gold-tone setting is bright, and all the imitation pearls are present and intact. It features a secure rollover safety clasp on the back.
