This is a set of (3) Warner Bros. Movie Lobby Cards (1948) measuring 11" x 14" for the hit comedy “June Bride” starring Bette Davis, Robert Montgomery, Fay Bainter & Betty Lynn. Davis plays a magazine editor whose top reporter is her former fiancée.
The condition of these three unrestored lobby cards (11”x14”) for Warner Bros. are fine to very fine with good color. The cards have general wear & tear such as smudges, edge & corner wear & creases. One lobby card has a single pinhole in border area. (See photos) Overall the cards display pretty well & the images really capture midcentury middle class fashion & design.
The film film is a delightful vehicle & sophisticated with bright dialogue, largely dependent for its humors upon a complex of wry attitudes. Also, it is a pretty solid story of good old home-town folks, never too soggy with sentiment & just a shade satiric around the edge.
