S. Kirk and Sons invented, perfected and represented Repousse type silver. And this Victory Set made between 1914 and 24 have perfectly preserved the earlier methods of its manufacture. Dating can be made using the CO and STERLING stamp. These were used by both children and their respective feeders in aiming food at the correct opening. If you notice the curved spoons stylings are actually made upside down, so that if you were to unroll the curled up handle you would see the inlay facing downward!
A seller on this platform made sure to correct me about this bowl. Apparently it could never be used to feed a baby and is only meant to put nuts and candies in. I apologize if I confused anyone, it was never my intention to confuse the facts. Never the less, it is truly beautiful!
For their age, these pieces are in superb condition and extremely impressive. They have a total weight of 244 gram. They have value in their weight as silver, but their historical value dwarfs that figure!
