This Victorian/ Gothic style dress was made in the late 1970s or early 80s by Gunne Sax. It is a floor length gown featuring a high neckline with a sheer plunging V on the front. There are ruffles and Swiss dot embellishments throughout. The back of the dress has a zipper, bow straps, and buttons up to the neckline.
The tag reads size 9. I am a size 12, and though I could wear it, I wasn't able to button it all the way up. I think this dress could fit a size 8-10 well. As for the length, I am 5'7 and the hem was a little short. It is a surprisingly light weight piece.
Please keep in mind this is a vintage piece, and though it is in good condition, there are some minor damages including loose threads and micro-tears which may or may not need repair (see images). The dress is in need of professional dry cleaning.
This stunning gown definitely has some gothic, Wednesdays Addams vibes. It is a rare little piece of history and makes for a beautiful prom, wedding, or evening gown!
