A gorgeous piece of Taxco silver jewelry made by Jorge "Chato" Castillo generally regarded as one of Mexico's finest silversmiths. A floral repousse design that Chato using the traditional technique made it his own by adding hammered textures and a modernist feel to the design.

Approximately, 1-1/8" wide; the bracelet is marked on the interior with "Taxco" and with the conjoined "jtc" mark of Jorge Chato Castillo. Also, there are two marks on the exterior of the cuff; "900" and a mark consisting of a large "M" with a small "c" above it. The marks are well hidden in the design. I suspect that this cuff was designed by Margot de Taxco while she was still married to Chato's brother Don Antonio. The "M" and "c" would stand for "Margot Castillo." There is no other designer working for the Castillo's at that time that fits these initials. This is just an educated guess.

This is a pre eagle (pre 1948) work of art. The condition of the bracelet is excellent. There is no damage.
