Prototype Pre-Production Versions of Hamburglar, Ronald McDonald Ronald Rocket, Birdie Thunder Birdie, & Flyin Fry Kids
So I purchased these back in the early 90's when I was collecting items for my book "A Guide To Buick Diecast And Collectibles".... Of course these are not Buicks, but I was purchasing items in Charlotte, NC - I forgot the store's name - they were one of the main distributors for Racing Champions products and I thought they were cool so I picked them up.
These are pre-production prototype of the banks... You can see in photos the difference of the Hamburglar versions - prototype and final production run.... prototype has red name on top of car, no cut for the coins, and a blank bottom (no hole to get money out and no key)..... And another example, Birdies Thunder Birdie was changed all together to Birdie's T-Bird for the final production.
