these shoes are a size 37, which is the equivalent to about a 6.5 or 7 in US. I am a solid size 7 and they fit perfect. They have a platform heel, in the front the platform is approximately 1 in tall and in the back the heel is 4 in. The shaft measures about 5 inches and sits just above the ankles. There is an inner zipper for the enclosure. The upper part is black leather and the bottom part is a tan rubber material that gives it a gum bottom look. These boots are in excellent condition with no flaws
