Meet Skooter, Skipper’s cheerful best friend, from the earliest Barbie family line! This is the original 1965 Straight-Leg Skooter #1040, made in Japan. She features her signature freckled face, warm brown eyes, and bright Titian red hair styled in short pigtails with pink ribbons. Her facial paint is vivid, and her limbs are tight, marked “©1963 Mattel, Inc. Japan.”
She’s wearing the colorful Skipper “Sunny Pastels” #1910 (1965–66) outfit—a sleeveless pastel rainbow dress with tree design, gold sequins, and matching tote (TLC handle). Dress is tagged, with secure snaps, and paired with yellow flats marked “Taiwan.”
