An ideal addition to any WWII collection that's rather rare in availability. You don't find a large amount or variety of WWII sterling jewelry or badges that represent the US Army Corps of Engineers. This pretty locket has a mother-of-pearl face with the castle/turret insignia of the Corps. It displays some dedicated wear to the gold finish, as if the "sweetheart" that wore it touched or opened it frequently, thinking of her loved one overseas. The locket measures 1 1/4"long from the top of the bale x 13/16" at the widest. It opens easily and closes with a satisfying "click". Marked on the interior "1/20-10K on Sterling" and weighs 5.0 grams. Displays wear as mentioned, but still in, what I consider to be, good vintage condition.
